Kodak is Hiring! We are looking for a General Service Mechanic - Fire/Pedestrian Door Mechanic in our Rochester Facilities group The Kodak Rochester Facilities (KRF) group is responsible for the management of buildings and site services, contract and supplier management, fire department, inspections and risk management, and several supporting operational services, and supports Eastman Business Park growth and strategic initiatives. Position Summary:The GSM - Fire/Pedestrian Door Mechanic is responsible for inspection, maintenance and repair of pedestrian and overhead/sliding doors across Kodak Rochester Facility properties. Specific Responsibilities:Experience and/or training to recognize door problems, make and verify repairs. Basic electrical skills to disconnect/reconnect building power to doors.Dock, Overhead and Slider doors to be inspected and repaired, per compliance code.Pedestrian doors to be inspected and repaired, per compliance code.Efficient use of spare parts available as surplus stock around the site. When parts purchases are required, secure at best competitive price.Fire door inspections and work must comply with all applicable Federal/State/Local requirements.Door inspections, maintenance, and repairs to be coordinated with the Building Managers.Identify passed and failed doors.Identify/assess doors that may contain asbestos, Contact the appropriate building manager to arrange to have the identified door tested.Ensure building firewall drawings reflect the actual current conditions in the field.Must be available for occasional call-in support off hours (eg emergency repairs).Knowledge of the following door types, Large overhead dock doors, Pedestrian, ?Bird Screen Doors?, Pedestrian Fire Door, Rytek High Speed Doors, Rolling Steel Doors ? Cornell, Raynor, Rite Hite High Speed Doors, Slider Door, Slider Fire Door, Pivot Door, Light Tight Doors, Cold Room Doors and ADA Doors.Maintenance and repairs are to be available on an emergency and routine basis. Recommended SkillsConfined Space (< 1%)LOTOCertified to operate other equipment required for specific jobs (ie, ladders, aerial lifts, etc.)Education RequiredHigh School diploma or GED3-5 years equivalent experience in a related field in an industrial/manufacturing environmentValid NYS Driver?s License is required. Personal attributesExcellent customer service skills required, daily interface with both internal Kodak and external tenant needs.Understands concepts of lean manufacturing to drive improvement in day-to-day work.A high level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in interactions with building occupants, contractors and team members.Experienced with safe work practices/requirements and ensuring compliance.Excellent verbal and written communication skills for communicating within team and with internal and external tenantsStrong problem solving and analytical skillsStrong team playerExcellent interpersonal skills and able to work cooperatively within a team environmentAble to organize/prioritize personal workloadAbility to work in a fast-paced, changing work environmentDemonstrate flexibility and willingness to work in other functions of KRF as necessaryPhysical RequirementsRegularly lift and or move up to 25lbs/12kg.Frequently lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg. Regularly required to stand; walk; sit, bend, and talk or hear. Heights; will require work off a step ladder, boom lifts, man lifts etc. Work may require employee to be exposed to inclement weather conditions.Some Repetitive work: use of hand tools
