Current Need McKesson Medical-Surgical is seeking a strong leader to lead our Sales Effectiveness team in Richmond or Jacksonville. The VP of Sales Effectiveness leads a diverse team who support McKesson Medical Surgical Sales teams in the development and implementation of sales tools and technology, training, and performance analytics supporting 1,200 sales roles serving the Medical-Surgical Primary Care, Extended Care, and Laboratory markets. Key Responsibilities Drive Sales Effectiveness team to create & manage effective sales tools through the use of proven product development processes. Specifically, focus on capturing the voice of the customer qualitatively and quantitatively, translating them to requirements and working collaboratively with IT to create value added products for our sales force. Drive revenue growth through robust sales training. Drive Sales force engagement and adoption of sales technology by collaborating with Sales leadership to effectively educate our sales teams on new and existing sales technology. Partner with IT to keep current with trends related to Sales Technology and incorporate these technologies in our portfolio Drive internal processes improvement using sales analytics, predictive analytics and related technology. Simplify low value transactional activities while building out functionality that enables and supports higher value selling activities. Reviews market and sales analyses to determine customer needs. Develops business plans for all sales support functions and process improvements to meet business needs. Responsible for the promotion of specific products or services. Duties involve communication with customer or client. Oversees demonstration of products/solutions and/ or services and provides assistance in the best application of product or services. Answers questions concerning products/solutions with appropriate referrals where required. May coordinate company product experts (including technical engineering support) and services to ascertain customer's needs. May be responsible for reference site development. May participate directly in product development and quality assurance testing of new releases or products. May be responsible for development of demo databases and templates for sales presentations. May analyze records of present and past sales and trends. Interprets accounts, trends, and records to management. Presents to new and present clients. Contacts prospects and explains feature and merits of products or services offered, utilizing persuasive sales techniques. May respond to customer request for proposal. Minimum Requirements 8 years sales/sales support experience with 5 years management experience Critical Skills 8 years in Sales or Sales facing role (Sales Technology, Training, ASM, Customer Service, Technology specialists, etc). 5 years leadership experience in a Training, Sales, Sales Admin or Customer Service based organization. Exceptional leadership capabilities to include: ability to lead and execute strategic plans and galvanize resources around large opportunities, ability to motivate both exempt and non-exempt employee base for growth and strong performance Demonstrated capability to provide influential leadership, effectively articulate his/her point of view and communicate with business relevance. Must be able to readily establish credibility with others Ability to think strategically (create a long range vision) and lead independently Extensive project management and project execution experience required Ability to initiate and drive standard policies and procedures department wide, identify and drive efficiency opportunities and continue to improve cost leverage for the business Ability to lead cross functional projects with Primary Care Sales, Marketing and back office functions. Proven successful track record implementing innovative Sales Force Automation technology/ sales force related tools & technology Strong attention to detail and technical competency Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills Exceptionally strong consultative, leadership, and coaching skills Client/customer focused, results orientation; collaboratively drives to solutions Ability to use data driven business information (analytics), to extract insight from analysis and translate the impact of solutions via measurable results.
