Job DescriptionSimplified Safety is looking for an individual to work within our sales team who can impart both technical and professional confidence to our customers. The ideal candidate for this position will excel in building relationships with potentials customers, have a strong grasp of technological communication, and be technically able to quote and specify products that are built to national standards. Training will be provided, so aptitude and attitude are more important than existing knowledge.The FPS role works directly with customers to provide fall protection solutions. This involves the following:Expertise in fall protectionExpertise in our product offeringGeneral understanding of workplace safetyUnderstanding the customers real need, and matching the right solution to itSelling the customer on the solution, Simplified Safety as a provider, and you as their consultantLead the customer in their journey from inquiry to saleUtilizing our CRM and Email Marketing tools to intelligently stay with the customer through their decision making and buying processTravel to a customers site to perform:Site auditsRisk assessmentsProduct certificationsInstallation Supervisions Responsibilities:Learn and keep current on a large amount of technical product information, with the purpose of being able to match appropriate solutions for customer needs.Learn and keep current with OSHA, ANSI, IBC and other governing codesTo educate and communicate product information, as well as code requirements, to customers who may not be familiar with industry standards or terminology.Receiving, prioritizing, and organizing an inflow of phone calls, emails, standard mail, online chat sessions, and faxes in an environment where the intensity cycles between peaks and valleys. Travel to site or electronically access customer work sites for fall hazards that need to be addressed.Be able to critically look at a quote and make the presentation consistently clear and professionalProvide customers with quotes for our product. Have a working understanding of our pricing, how the quote should be organized, and fully be able to utilize our quoting tools. Negotiate price, terms, lead times and order information with the customer to facilitate receipt of orders after the quotation process. To identify other customer needs, increase customer confidence / satisfaction, and improve transaction profitability (Cross-sell solutions).Fully understand and utilize our CRM and Email Marketing platform to communicate effectively with your customers after the quotation is sent. Interact with third party suppliers and manufacturing technical departments to arrive at the appropriate customer solution.Reporting: Take responsibility for large quotes, reporting changes and opportunities to the Sales Manager. Setup and supervise onsite installation of system installation products.Observe and report on trends, work volume, recurring problems, and market opportunities.Attend and participate in staff meetings and training.Maintain a plan for personal growth, continuing education, and skill development.Assist sales and product development with creating new marketing and presentation tools.Requirements:Experience5 - 10 years of prior sales experienceSoft Skills Be confident and carry yourself with confidenceAbility to recognize personal limitations and reach for support from team membersTechnical ability to comprehend and design safety systemsAbility to memorize and maintain product and code knowledgeAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and job specificationsHave a consistent professional image for SSIMaintain a constructive and positive attitude with customers, team members, and vendorsAbility to work with minimal supervision and maintain responsibility for personal objectivesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent email and inbox managementTime management, organization, and prioritization skillsMust have the ability to multi-task and handle conflicting demandsWillingness to adapt new technologiesAbility to negotiate and estimate through sales Trouble shooting, problem solving, and ability to present solutionsMaintain customer confidence while researching answers to difficult questionsHard SkillsHigh school diploma or GED, and some college experienceProficient in Microsoft office, use of desktop computer systemTyping min 40 WPMAdditional Helpful ExperienceBusiness TravelMechanical / Building experience
