The Flaum Eye Institute at the University of Rochester has an opening for a full-time Senior Associate in the Department of Ophthalmology. Responsibilities will focus on basic research into the molecular genetics of sensory and neural progenitors in the inner ear. Responsible for: developing research protocols, data collection and analysis, generating and maintaining genetically modified mouse strains, and preparing data for publication.

Candidates are expected to have a Ph.D. degree with history of independent funding, collaborative science, and peer-reviewed publications appropriate to rank. Good attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and excellent communication abilities are absolutely critical. Experience with mouse genetics is desired but not necessary.

A post-offer health assessment is required.
