The work includes project accounting and reporting in accordance with our company guidelines. The Project Controller will work with the project team and site management to ensure planning, consistency and cost follow-up. This position is placed in our office in Rochester NY. Responsibilities and AccountabilitiesPerformance Measurement :Respect of ALSTOM rules and processesQuality of variances analysisAccuracy of revenue and cash forecastsProject estimate at completionFinancial objectives of projectsReporting is accurate and on time.Satisfaction of business partners Responsibilities:Maintain the company’s revenue and cash forecast for the assigned projectManage the controlling and financial reporting of assigned projects in accordance with internal control rules (billing, revenue recognition, estimation of costs to complete)Ensure project accounting is in accordance with company guidelines; define milestone and liaise with accounting for revenue recognitionPrepare and lead periodical project reviews and the periodical project financial presentation with all relevant financial analysisCoordinate with the project team to ensure consistent accounting (margin and revenue milestone recognition) and reporting across the projectProduce all financial project reporting as requested (forecast cash flow, revenue gross margin)Control and have at all times full knowledge of all financial movements within the project scope, ensuring they are correctly and accurately reportedEnsure accuracy of actuals and cost to complete data of assigned projectsAnticipate and communicate, as soon as possible, any variance in estimate at completion or change in project revenue or cash forecastEnsure that Work package commitments (Quality, Costs, Delay : QCD) are properly backed-up/documented and monitored on a monthly basisSupports the project team in the controlling/financial management of their Work packages/Project Support the Work Package owner/project team in the financial management of his Work Packages and projectSupport the WP owner in the WP review with the projectSupport monthly project closing and reporting. Requirements:Educational RequirementsBS Degree in Business Administration; Accounting; Economics or equivalent professionalAt Alstom Transport, we offer you the opportunity to unleash your potential and reinvent yourself.
