Chief of Large Animal Medicine & Research


The University of Rochester is recruiting an practiced, nationally licensed veterinarian to play a leadership abilities service function in our clinical and surgical program with an academic appointment in Comparative Medicine. ACLAM board eligibility or certification or fifteen years of veterinary private practice surgical & clinical practice is desired. We prioritize recruitinga skilled veterinarian who works collaboratively with a team. The prosperous applicant will join three practiced veterinarians and six veterinary technicians providing veterinary care and research support for a diverse biomedical research and teaching program across 54,000 mice, 100 nonhuman primates and a variety of other traditional laboratory animal species housed in our AAALAC accredited, 85,000-square foot centralized facility. We hope to fill the position by March 2018.
