Responsible for ancillary contracts including negotiations of rates, reimbursement methodologies and contract language. Responsible for maintaining a positive professional working relationship between MVP and the ancillary providers. Requests data from the analytics department for cost, utilization and other data trends as part of the negotiation process. Coordinates with other internal Departments regarding (1) resolving and preventing ancillary provider - MVP problems and issues, (2) implementing new and revised MVP - ancillary agreements and rates. Serves as a negotiator between MVP and Ancillary Providers for a new or renewed contract and rates. Assists in development and maintenance of an ancillary contracts database. Ensures that Management is kept informed of proposed ancillary contracts that may/will affect their departments. Works in a cooperative and coordinated manner with MVP's regional offices and regional directors as an important part of the ancillary contracting and rate negotiations process. Travels as needed. Performs others duties as assigned. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Education: Bachelors degree. Minimum Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years healthcare reimbursement experience. Required Skills: Good understanding of current reimbursement methodologies of Medicaid, Medicare and other commercial insurers. Excellent interpersonal skills to develop and maintain positive relationships. Detail-oriented with ability to maintain high level of accuracy while working on multiple projects within time constraints. Ability to work independently and possess good judgment skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Preferred Skills: Previous experience in contractual negotiations.
