Opening Full Time 40 hours Grade 052 Career Center Schedule 8 AM:5 PM Responsibilities General Purpose: Provide career advising services to undergraduate and graduate students as well as limited alumni populations in designated departments, schools and industries/professions. Services include both one:on:one advising with students/alumni and program development and delivery in collaboration with faculty, staff, community organizations and employers, and students. Strategically engage partners across campus to provide these services as well as educate students on the career development process and opportunities that exist (internships, experiential opportunities, jobs, graduate school). Will be assigned to exploratory or industry advising role based on need within office. Will be assigned to liaison roles of academic and staff departments across College and campus as needed. Specific Responsibilities: Under general direction and with latitude for independent judgment and initiative: Advise undergraduate and graduate/professional students and selected groups of alumni in individual appointments, walk:in advising and small groups about exploring career and education options and in developing effective experiential learning, job search and graduate and professional school search strategies. Develop, contribute, and update career exploration and development information on the web site; Utilize virtual technologies and resources in the delivery of service to students as
