SYNOPSIS: Directly supervises up to 10 learning professionals, and serves as a functional champion across all training processes. Responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive performance-based learning and development strategy for internal clients and channel partners across multiple business models. Roughly 10-20% travel. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Act as the primary learning leader providing solutions for both technical products and non-technical sales development training such as business acumen, sales and coaching. * Lead transformational or process improvement initiatives for Learning and Education initiatives * Conduct analysis, design, development and evaluation of learning solutions through blended delivery methods including instructor led classrooms, virtual classrooms, self-directed e-learning, and more, to maximize the value of investment in learning initiatives. * Develop and implement a strategic plan and long range strategic initiatives for the department including being able to effectively translate them into specific techniques, action plans and deliverables. * Hire, train, coach, counsel and evaluate the performance of direct reports, including remote employees and appropriately address HR issues and transformational opportunities. * Manage third-party vendors for content development and training delivery. * Develop learning delivery models to engage students, continually improve training effectiveness and development programs, as well as leverage technology to enhance and optimize learning opportunities. * Develop and perform against metrics that measure ROI and learning program impact. * Serve as a business partner to HR, Sales and other Training organizations within * Provide coaching and resource translation (source files, vendor relationships) to improve training and education programs for non-departmental business units. QUALIFICATIONS: * 5+ years of hands on supervisory responsibility of trainers and administration personnel, including remote team members - the position requires proven transformational leadership ability. * Advanced knowledge in adult learning, instructional design process and education platforms such as online learning software and Learning Management Systems. * Ability to recognize gaps and institute formal needs assessment for the organization, customers and staff. * Experience translating requirements into plans and benchmarks, directing and implementing, and presenting formal oral and written status to internal Management. * Responsiveness to external and internal market needs including partnering with Sr. Management to synthesize appropriate response and strategy. * High degree of initiative, creativity and the ability to broaden horizontal thinking vs official job description. * Ability to grasp new ideas and change direction quickly including staying ahead of learning and development trends and can translate appropriately. * Result-driven attitude and highly developed transformational leadership. * Must maintain confidentiality and enjoy working independently without close supervision. * Learning Management experience within a Software, Manufacturing or similar industry environment is desired * Experience leading teams through transformational and change management initiatives is desired EDUCATION: * Bachelor's Degree in Industrial / Organizational Psychology, Training and Development, Instructional Design or Instructional Technology. * Over 10-15 years of relative hands on experience * Combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background in effective leadership of the training cycle: design, delivery, evaluation - provided by DiceAnalysis, Change Management, Development, Management, Metrics, Sales, Supervision
