Teachers, counselors, support staff, and administrators, with the support of the College at Brockport and the SUNY Center for Academic and Workforce Development, together have worked to give students the opportunity to gain skills needed to continue to college or obtain a career. As part of this system, the Rochester Educational Opportunity Center will deliver comprehensive, community-based academic and workforce development programs and provide support services leading to enhanced employment opportunities, access to further education, personal growth and development. Position Description REOC is currently accepting applications for Adjuncts in the following subject areas: * Barbering (NYS Licensure) * Certified Nursing Assistant (NYS Certification) * Child Development Associate * College Preparation/SAT Preparation * Cosmetology (NYS Licensure) * Culinary Arts * Customer Service/Medical Secretary/Office Support Specialist * Emergency Medical Technician (NYS Certification) * English for Speakers of Other Languages * High School Equivalency (formerly GED) * Home Health Aide (NYS Certification) * Licensed Practical Nursing (NYS Licensure) * Pharmacy Technician * Security Guard (NYS Certification) * Remediation for Writing, Reading, and Mathematics * Teacher Assistant (NYS Certification) Responsibilities include: Teach in subject area / related activities Attend program and/or departmental meetings Advise and tutor students Comply with REOC process and procedures (grades, attendance, admission) Work collaboratively with other faculty and staff Weekends and / or evenings may be required Required Qualifications High School Diploma Degree in subject area or closely-related field OR License/Certification in subject area Experience: minimum of two years of teaching and/or training in the subject area or closely related field Experience with training and/or teaching a diverse adult population Preferred Qualifications Three to five years of teaching or training of the adult population Application Instructions Please visit to complete an application including your cover letter, CV, and contact information for three professional references.
