A BioTelemetry Research Radiologist approves the segmentations of the image analysts in the BTR workflow, records observations as required per study protocol, and interprets image analysis findings and contributes to the deliveries of study reports. The ability to read medical images is paramount, and a radiologist must be comfortable interpreting images of various modalities commonly used in diagnostic radiology practice such as CT, MRI, and PET to support methods and drug development studies. An understanding of imaging protocol and hardware requirements is essential in the application of imaging end points to drug development trials.Performs the Quality Inspection (QI) of images, when required by the image charter or project contract.Performs the Quality Assurance (QA) of the segmentation analysis.Identifies using software, all the regions of interest depending on the project.Stays current with imaging technology and procedures.Follows good clinical practice standards.Consults on the use of imaging biomarkers with knowledge of the study protocol.Participates in the identification and research of novel imaging biomarkers and their application to industrial medicine.Qualifications: Medical diploma (MD) or equivalent At least 5 years experience in Radiology service, research, or practice.Board Certification in RadiologyState licensure desired, but not mandatory.
