ThatA?s something we can all take pride in as we take this journey together.As a User Experience Design Intern within the Clin Labs R and D group at Ortho Clinical Diagnostics, you will have the opportunity to work on a design project in a multi:disciplinary team environment. Your responsibilities will include creative brainstorming, detailed concept sketching, and the creation of design solutions for future needs within the global diagnostics market.You should be passionate about the benefits of good design and how it can positively shape user experience. Your focus will be on the user and understanding their needs mentally, physically, and emotionally.You will be expected to interact with customers and gather Voice of Customer to support your design recommendations.Product, interface, and communication designs should not only delight our customers, but they should also protect their safety and the safety of the patients they serve.User Experience Design interns are expected to inspire the R and D team to think creatively, challenges the normative, and improves the user experience in all aspects of our products and services.We are looking for a well:rounded, talented and self:motivated pre:junior, junior, or senior who possesses exceptional analytical, design and presentation skills, is articulate, eager to learn, and interested in the rewarding challenge of medical product design.Assignments and responsibilities will focus on the A?front endA? of the design process including human factors research, Voice of Customer, product research, the creation of trend boards, concept sketching, graphic design skills, 3D computer:aided models (SolidWorks or Creo preferred), the execution of usability testing, interactive presentations, and the creation of product concept designs.Animation and some software development skills are a plus, but not a requirement.The User Experience Design intern will be responsible for researching and identifying voice of customer needs and designing user:centric concepts for future product development.Field(s) of Study: Industrial Design, Graphic Design, New Media Design, or Engineering Psychology/Human:Machine InteractionMinimum Year in School: Pre:Junior level and beyondUndergraduate OR Graduate StudentMinimum GPA 3.0Strong experience using 2D and 3D software (Solidworks, KeyShot, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects)Experience with data analysis tools (Minitab, Excel)Experience with MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)Exceptional design, presentation, and communication skillsAbility to work withi
