Our client in Rochester, NY has an immediate opening for a Technical Project Manager for a 6 month contract assignment. The client would prefer candidates that are already local to the Rochester area for this position. Essential job functions: Coordinates, plans, communicates software solution applications per development teams needs for successful delivery of the software solutions. Includes working closely with development teams using Microsoft TFS tool suite to understand features, backlog, and bugs and the sprint cycle planning used in Agile development. Adhere to the Corporate product delivery process and metrics for software applications. Responsibilities Create, plan, and communicate the development status for the software delivery: * Create and maintain A, B and C level plans for each release. * Create and maintain engineering status reports for the offering managers and teams. * Create and maintain engineering problems status, and coordinate and/or drive to closure the items tracked on the problem status * Proactively clearly communicate to both development and senior management team barriers or issues that will impede the delivery of the application. * Create and maintain the artifacts needed for the product delivery process for software applications. * Abiding by the Corporate licensing policies for each software delivery, including working with Corporate Licensing team, and within the Black Duck Protex and Code Center process Essential Skills: * Must have Agile Teamwork Experience * Skilled verbal communication skills for presenting and communicating to multiple levels of engineering and management. * PMP certification is ideal * Experience in Microsoft TFS, Clearquest, and requirements management Candidate Education * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field * 5 + years software development/delivery experience CTG is the most reliable IT services provider, built on 50 years of meeting our commitments to make technology work for clients and deliver real business value.
