SORRY NO C2Cs Systems Engineer / Cloud Operations EngineerRochester, NY ACS Group is searching for a Systems Engineer / Cloud Operations Engineer for an opportunity in Rochester, NY! The Systems Engineer / Cloud Operations Engineer will join our Cloud Operations team focusing on supporting Cloud Computing Infrastructure and its processes. The Systems Engineer / Cloud Operations Engineer would be responsible for the configuration, administration, customization, documentation and automation of the Virtual Data Center (VDC) Infrastructure & its processes which is deployed on top of Azure IAAS. Job Responsibilities: * Support and maintain Virtual Data Center including operations, incidents, service requests and execution of changes * Support and maintain Microsoft Azure IAAS/PAAS environment including compute, networking, storage, load-balancer, backup, NSG, database, Azure monitor, network watcher etc. * Support and maintain Cloud Management Platform tool (Scalr) and build automation scripts & frameworks to improve operational processes, procedures * Assist Cloud Competency and Cloud Operations team with build out of cloud capabilities of the VDC; assist with migration of workload to the VDC * Support the Virtual Data Center (VDC) process (ie change management, incident management, request management etc) * Configure ARM resources through Azure Web Portal and Command Line Interface through PowerShell * Deploy cloud instances through Cloud Management Platform tool and customize automation & orchestration engine whenever required. * Work closely with Information Security group on compliance and audit requirement related to VDC. * Troubleshoot performance and stability issues using a wide variety of tools and be an escalation point for all production issues during shift or as required. * Implement alerts and monitoring for better availability and performance for VDC resources * Configure and manage Azure virtual machine, storage, backup, load balancer, virtual network, VPN gateway etc * Work on creating or updating technical run book and process documentation * Create, change or delete user accounts, storage accounts, cloud instances and environments * Support other day-day task related to supporting Virtual Data Center (VDC) and work towards achieving operational excellence Skill & Competency Requirements: * 10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure management and virtualization * BS or Engineering in Computer science or electronics or related IT focused * Solid background and hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure IAAS & PAAS (compute, networking, storage, load-balancer, backup, NSG etc.) and Cloud Management Platform technologies * Experience supporting an environment running Microsoft Azure and Cloud Management Platform technologies. * Extensive experience supporting Windows and Linux operating systems running as Virtual Machines and/or cloud instances. * Solid understanding of networking, DNS, VLANs, Firewall, network segmentation, Storage, backup, Load Balancer, patch management, OSI model. * Strong analytical and conceptual problem solving skills with the ability to transform data into useful information. * Configure, administer, and operate highly scalable, available, and elastic solutions that implement industry best practices using Microsoft Azure * Scripting experience - Python, bash, PowerShell, Ruby * Experience on Cloud Management Platform tools, preferable Scalr. * Must have extensive hands-on experience * Ability to hit the ground running and provide value immediately * Microsoft Azure certified is a plus Qualities: * Team player. * Self-starter requiring minimal supervision. * Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities and requirements. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. - provided by DiceCloud Systems Engineering infrastructure virtualization azure iaas paas dns vlans firewall segmantation storage backup scripting
