More information about Frontier is available at www.frontier.com.The NOC Supervisor is a managerial position that over-sees the daily business of the Network Operations Center. The manager oversees the adherence of NOC procedures, schedules and resolution of troubles and projects.In this role, the NOC Supervisor will be responsible for managing a group of Tier1 technicians and It requires high managerial skills along with the ability to interact with internal and external customers, vendors, engineers, operations and all levels of management.Day-to-day work responsibilities:Serve as an escalation point for our Commercial Customer Support CPE NOC Organization.Lead trouble resolution bridges and/or efforts as needed.Work with local management and general managers to assist in the resolution of equipment or network outages within Frontier's regions.Engage Frontier's CPE Partners to resolve CPE Customer issues.Utilize, manage and maintain network and performance monitoring tools to ensure customer CPE reliability ( Net-cool, I-View)Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA impute as needed) or provide trouble history for customer CPE issues and chronic troubles that indicate the cause of the trouble and what was done to resolve it and what can be done to reduce impact or prevent future occurrencesManage staff, schedules, and training.Collaborate with all NOC management to develop and establish new processes and procedures.Requirements:10 years of network monitoring, support or administration experience4 year degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience in related field2 years management experience or equivalentGreat communication skills, both oral and writtenAbility to work cooperatively in a team environmentLeadershipAbility to be on call 24/7Staffing & RecruitingWorkforce DevelopmentProcess DevelopmentHighly desirable experience:Experience monitoring, maintaining and troubleshooting CPE and PBX equipment/configurationExperience with Avaya, Nortel, Mitel and Ruckus IP PBX equipment and/or network equipmentExperience with hosted PBX and/or IP Centrex solutionsExperience supporting and maintaining equipment and serviceExperience troubleshooting and maintaining Metro-E circuits/equipmentCisco and Juniper router experienceExperience configuring and supporting equipment : Adtran/Calix/ALU/TellabsATM/Ethernet switch experience: Ciena/ALU/CiscoWorking knowledge of MPLS networkingKnowledge in Ethernet, ATM, IP routingExperience with major Internet protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP,Knowledge of the following networking concepts: OSI model, IP sub-netting, DNS, ATM, Ethernet, troubleshooting processes, troubleshootingFamiliar with network standards protocols and best practices prescribed by ITU, IEEE and MEF.Additional experience:Programming and scripting languagesTelecommunications Network Operations CenterPlanning, engineering, and provisioningProject ManagementMilitary ExperienceManagement ExperienceTraining ExperienceDesired Certifications:CCNA/CCNPAny vendor specific certifications (Avaya, Mitel, Ruckus, Cisco) Required Experience
