Position Summary: The ideal candidate is an early to mid-career software developer familiar with Web development who will be a member of our Rochester, NY based Retail Software development team. This individual's primary responsibilities will include development of existing and new Web applications.The individual will work from our Rochester, New York facility. Kodak Alaris has flexible work hours but this position requires core hours from approximately 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.Roles and Responsibilities:Support existing and new Web applications.Design, code, unit test, debug and document programs.Clearly and actively communicate status of work and projects to stakeholders as needed.Work closely with Rochester and other worldwide teams to identify and resolve issues/concerns.Diagnose and resolve software defects and problems.Meet time requirements for assignments, with minimal reminders.Provide work breakdown using standardized estimation techniques.Participate in work product reviews (eg code design). Required Skills:Experience with HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS.Java.Strong, fluent written and verbal communication in English. Preferred Skills:React and ReduxExperience with Javascript ES2015 and ES2017 and transpiling them to ES5.SASS and responsive Web apps.Use of Visual Studio Code with ESLint.Git and GithubNode.jsNode.js task managers such as Gulp.Experience with the Android SDK.Android Studio and GradleFamiliarity with all phases of the software development life cycle (analysis, design, development, testing, defect tracking/resolution, deployment, field support).Familiarity with DRY and clean code software development practices.Familiarity with Object Oriented Application architecture and programming.Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Sprints, etc.).Familiarity with mobile/server based cloud computing Desired Skills:Full stack programming experience.React Native and mobile iOS programming. Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related area of study focused on software.Two to ten years of relevant development experience, including formal Web programming experience and formal or informal Android mobile programming experience.
