Job Description Job Description: A Senior Network Engineer on the Advanced Services Engineering team will be responsible for the design, engineering, turn up and repair of customers who have purchased our Enterprise Managed Services Programs as well as our corporate environment. The team will be responsible for all technology verticals provided to these customers by FLTG, including but not limited to, support for data center routing and switching, corporate infrastructure including route/switch, security, wireless, and telephony. This position will be a key contributor to Service Level Agreement commitment assurance and will participate in weekly business review calls, facilitated by our project management team, with respective enterprise accounts. The department will manage CLEC services including firewall, and switch services where CPE gear is used. Engineers are responsible for maintaining accurate documentation of network elements and services that are covered by the Managed Service Agreement. Key Responsibilities: Configuration of enterprise network technologies such as routers/switches, next generation security platforms, wireless, IP Telephony for large multi-site enterprise customers Troubleshooting of network issues using debug commands and third party tools such as Wireshark Configuration of WAN technologies and services such as data shapers, load balancers and WAN optimization Expertise with Layer 3 routing protocols (MPLS, EIGRP, OSPF and BGP) Provide support of Cisco Data Center technology (Nexus, UCS, WAAS, MDS, 6500, VSS) Provide consulting, planning, design, implementation and support for Enterprise customers and services Ability to perform day to day configuration without impacting customer business operations Proficiency documenting enterprise networks using Microsoft Visio Ability to provide management and account team oral and written reports on the client needs, problems, interests, market situations, competitive activities, and potential for new products/services Required Skills: Ability to prioritize a variety of customer tickets and project tasks Ability to self-manage and proactively communicate concerns with internal scheduling resources and management Good written and verbal communication skills Positive attitude and an ability maintain composure under pressure Experience with Cisco Routers/Switches Experience with Cisco ASA Products Experience with Data Center Products Experience with packet sniffers, Data Shapers, Protocol Analyzers and VPN Technology Qualifications: CCNP highly Preferred or ability to demonstrate CCNP skill set via lab CCDP a plus Bachelor’s degree in IP Networking highly preferred Minimum of 10 years’ experience in related field.
