Overview/Purpose of Position
An Opinion Quest Research Analyst manages the dynamic project fulfillment process for moderate to complex market research studies, including fielding, data collection and review, and client communications. Monitoring job quality and scope changes, as well as overseeing the execution of the research process across Operations for approximately 5-8 projects, are key components of this position.

Responsibilities:
Employee may be responsible for one or more of the following on any given project:

Client Development (pre-win)

  • Communicate with internal and external clients and functions as the main point of contact
  • Consult with internal team on the feasibility of operational design and timeline for moderate to complex projects, contribute ideas for research solutions to business problem
  • Assist with proposal preparation: timing, feasibility, etc
  • Work with existing clients with moderate oversight; participate in the development of new research opportunities

Design

  • Act as operational resource regarding design and execution through duration of moderate to complex projects
  • Manage end-to-end project schedule in fast-paced environment
  • Outline implementation of project plan for studies with moderate oversight
  • Manage the project and project quality through fielding, including coordinating operational meetings, maintenance of project files, etc.
  • Make survey recommendations for higher quality results and panel retention

Sample/ Survey Programming

  • Review survey instrument; prepare survey for programming & test for field readiness
  • Review & prepare client sample for sampling
  • Consult with Operations and Research Methodology on sample design discussions
  • Evaluate quotas, sample representativeness, contribute to identifying weighting targets

Field/ Data Processing

  • Actively troubleshoot project fielding issues, identify and implement solutions
  • Act as a client contact through project fielding
  • Prepare field progress reports, deliver to client as appropriate
  • Manage client expectations related to schedule/timeline with moderate oversight on complex studies; minimal oversight on basic studies
  • Review deliverable specifications and verify quality of deliverables, including tab reports

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • 2+ years of research/project management experience
  • Detail orientated and ability to multi-task
  • Proven verbal, written, and interpersonal communication and proofreading skills
  • Demonstrated technical skills using MS Word, Excel and related computer software packages
  • Ability to work independently, self-directed, strong work ethic and adherence to deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple moderate/complex projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated effective client management (internal or external) skills
  • Excellent organizational abilities
  • Industry experience with knowledge of the research process
