In full coordination with PrSAA, be technical interface between the S and P and the Customer in order to provide fluidity in the implementation of the delivered System (project solution).
He / She is accountable to define all design choices and propose the best solution (Customer Oriented and Cost Effective).
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
:Number of solved System Enhancement requested by the Customer/Total amount of System Enhancements requested by the Customer.
:No project blocking issues coming from System Application choices.
:At project launch, check the gap analysis performed during tender phose.
:Present and defend Alstom Transport solutions to Customers in order to guide Request for Proposals writings in collaboration with the Project SAA (PrSAA). Participate to Questions and Answers sessions proposed by Customers.
:Capture the RFP Requirements.
:Clarify implicit or uncompleted requirements through a Clarification Book, organize technical meeting with Customer to present and get approval on the additional/rewritten requirements.
:Analyse the development requested and elaborate customer:oriented design with the PrSAA.
:Support the PrSAA to validate the cost effective design for deployment and maintenance of the System.
:Define Project Baselines Strategy, by delegation of the PrEM, check that the System Delivery Plan is consistent with the Project Strategy, alert and propose mitigation plan in collaboration with the PrSAA in other case.
:Organize Kick:Off Meeting for every Baseline, by delegation of the PrEM, in order to validate Baseline Scope Freeze.
:Facilitate (correspondence, meetings...) resolution of technical issues between the System and the Customer. Be the front office of the Project for troubleshooting I root cause identification in all phases of the project.
:Organize the Project Change Control Boards (CCB) in order to ensure that the System could be implemented in an optimized way.
:Organize Design Reviews with peers and Platform Technical Director for every new Design Choice and provide key elements to demonstrate Design Freeze (through checklists) at PGR.
:On project demands, attend System Change Control Boards (CCB) in order to ensure that the implementation will not generate not agreed Application Conditions.
:Deliver elements for V and V activities as Requirements Traceability.
:Propose System evolutions to System Program Manager according to Return on Experience captured on projects and in coordination with SM.
:Organize Customer Trainings.
:Follow:up user project knowledge and documents for potential capitalisation in the System documentation library at the benefit of re:use by other projects and in coordination with SAA.
:BS Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
Experience/Alstom Level Description
:For this level it is required at least 10 years of experience working on signaling projects as a sub:system or system engineer. The B2 Project Architect is self:proficient on all project system activities, and is furthermore responsible for providing technical guidance to B1 level Project Architects. The B2 Project Architect may be either an expert on one given subsystem (i.e.: IXL, ATC, ICC, Carborne, ...), or on a given system (i.e.: CBTC, Accutrack, PTC, ...).
