The Kodak Alaris I-PPF Division is seeking a Business Analyst (BA). The BA, as part of the KC2 Agile software development team, will work with the Product Owner to gather product requirements and identify the highest value features. They will assist the Product Owner with breaking down and documenting these features into smaller, cross-functional user stories that are maintained in the Agile product backlog. The BA provides value by asking the right questions, to ensure that the real business problem behind the expressed needs is defined, so that the development team is solving the right problem, and not providing the right solution to the wrong problem. Business Value: The BA function ensures that developers have a healthy backlog of high quality requirements, that will deliver the functionality and value expected by the business. Key Responsibilities: Participate in the release planning and scoping that determines the product roadmap. Elicit and develop business requirements and turn them into detailed requirements that can be coded and tested. Think through the ramifications of new requirements, identifying clashes, finding workarounds and where necessary highlighting issues. Collect, document, and manage enhancement requests from internal and external sources. Author detailed product functional requirements in the form of Agile user stories. Participate in UX/UI design sessions. Ensure product backlog has enough sufficiently detailed user stories for the next 2-4 sprints. Provide requirement clarification to development, UX/UI, QA, and product management Work closely with development team, UX/UI, QA and product management to ensure all product features are accurately implemented and tested. Maintain accurate product and system documentation. Some customer interaction will be required; however, the key stakeholders are internal. Required Skills: Proven success as a BA/Requirements Analyst in an Agile software development company. Detail focused dislikes ambiguity. Able to work on their own initiative. Wide understanding of business and business processes. Excellent written and oral communication skills coupled with the ability to listen, question, and understand both the company s and client s needs relative to a software solution. Excellent skill in documenting product requirements in the form of user stories for software development. Able to translate business needs into unambiguous, code-able requirements. Able to understand and communicate technical details regarding web and mobile application development and deployment. Capable of presenting facts to both developers and business/sales people. Solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and consistent follow-through. Highly professional interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Outstanding troubleshooting capability for ferreting out issues and driving resolution. Hands on experience with Agile methodologies, experience using Jira a plus. Qualifications: Masters/Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or a related technical degree.
