Job Description We are seeking an IT Support Specialist (Systems Administrator) to join our team! Main duties include, but are not limited to, providing support for staff both local and remote. To also maintain infrastructure locally and assist in IT Projects both local and global. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Provide technical support for PC’s and peripherals for both HW/SW and record through ticketing system for staff both local/remote with the goal of ensuring associate needs are met in a timely fashion. Troubleshoot issues and maintain HW/SW for associates and local IT infrastructure (Windows computers, servers, AD, DHCP, DNS.) Work collectively with IT associates located globally to maintain the availability of IT infrastructure and for projects affecting both local and global sites alike Maintain and adhere to corporate standards for security rights, directory structures, system updates, group policies and related issues. Order software/hardware equipment for the organization that relates to IT infrastructure. Measure and report project performance against budget and KPIs. Liaise with local and remote management as well as fellow IT associates to ensure smooth running of IT operations and project target dates. Able to function on call after hours to assist in “system down” situations. Communicate project status, site status, report on KPIs, and manage of risks/issues ensuring these are resolved or escalated as appropriate. Assist in the maintenance of the physical plant infrastructures, including wiring and cabling with fundamental understanding of switch configuration and controls to ensure integrity and reliability of the telecomm infrastructure. Help associates achieve improvements in quality, service, cost, and growth by providing a secure and reliable means of accessing and sharing information. Maintain system and operational documentation for software and hardware. Assist with enforcement and procedures to ensure proper licensing and software compliance. Recommend solutions for improving user productivity through applied technology. Keep current on developments in the field of client/server technology, networks and operations. Qualifications: Qualified degree, or equivalent experience in Information Technology field. Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 knowledge Windows 7/10 Desktop support Active Directory, DHCP, DNS knowledge Proven project management experience in project execution processes and principles Microsoft office support Ability to work with minimal supervision Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly and effectively to fellow IT associates Ability to communicate technical jargon into understandable info to non IT associates Good organizational skills and project skills Ability to be able to prioritize the needs of associates Company Description Established in 1945, with continuous improvement at the core of our business, Qualitrol provides condition based monitoring across the globe for utility assets.
