Advances the mission of the Arc Foundation of Monroe by managing special events, annual appeals, and online giving activities. Works with the Foundation's Executive Director to implement engaging fundraising events, appeals, and campaigns that cultivate new donors, grow relationships with existing donors, and engage with the community. Contributes to the Foundation's fundraising goals by securing sponsorships, private donations, and in-kind gifts. Special Events * Manages special events such as the annual sporting clays tournament, annual golf tournament, annul cocktail party, social events, or other activities the Foundation uses to raise funds and attract new donors. * Collaborates with Foundation leadership to develop special event sponsorship opportunities. Generates list of event sponsor prospects. Leads effort to secure event sponsorships, auction/raffle items, and sell event tickets. * Supports meetings with sponsors and organizing committees to plan scope and format of events. * Coordinate with Director of Marketing and Communications to develop and execute PR plan for events. * Maintains records of event aspects, including financial details. Reviews event bills for accuracy, and confirms payment. * Manages event volunteers to fulfill the needs of all events Annual Appeal & Online Giving * Manages foundation annual appeal campaign through print, online, and other solicitation channels. * Coordinates with appeal vendors and designers to create appeal materials are captivating, timely, and facilitate increased annual giving. * Manages online and social media giving channels. * Collaborates with foundation leadership to create and execute annual giving campaigns and membership drives. Fundraising Support * Supports all other fundraising efforts by maintaining donor records, researching prospects, supporting third party events and campaigns, and assisting in all other foundation activities. Required Skills Knowledge/Experience * Excellent public speaking, writing, presentation, and organizational * Flexibility and creativity, along with project management skills, are required for the position * Ability to work with extremely confidential information * Demonstrated skills prioritizing and organizing workload * Superb attention to detail, ability to handle discreet, confidential information * Team centered cooperative work philosophy Required Experience Minimum Education & Experience * Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Public Affairs, Marketing, Business, Journalism, Communication, Political Science or related field required, plus 1-2 years related experience; or equivalent in education and experience. * Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Donor Management Software, CRM, Social media and other web or cloud based products and services. * Ability to maintain event specific information and generate reports on past, present, and future engagement.SDL2017
