Job Summary:
This position is responsible for managing the payroll department and supervising the Payroll Assistant. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for remitting and recording our weekly payroll in compliance with IRS, DOL, federal, state, and municipal regulations with a focus on clarity and accuracy for a 1,400+ employee population in both the property management and hospitality industries. Essential Functions:
: Analyze, prepare and input payroll data and ensure payroll data calculations are correct.
: Complete any planning, project management and communication necessary to stay ahead of employee payroll.
: Process validate, document, standardize and automate the weekly payroll.
: Reconcile all payroll:related discrepancies, accounts and activities.
: Respond to routine inquiries concerning payroll deductions, wage garnishments and earning verifications.
: Implement and oversee all payroll reporting functions and custom reports.
: Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws in multiple states.
: Identifies, analyzes and resolves complex, multi:faceted payroll problems.
: Ensure the processing of new hires, transfers, promotions and terminations is accurate and timely.
: Responsible for developing and maintaining all documentation concerning the payroll process.
: Manage registrations and resolve agency notice discrepancies for each state and local jurisdiction in which the company pays employees and withholds taxes.
: Design and implement a quarterly audit review process.
: Set up the General Ledger for payroll in conjunction with the Accounting department.
: Assists with related special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
: Associates Degree in Accounting, .
: 5:7 years of experience processing payroll for a multi:state, 1,400+ employee population.
: Experience working with ADP Workforce Now/ Etime and reporting.
: Knowledge of multi:state wage and hour laws, including tip reporting.
: Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
: Proven ability to scale processes as our population and payroll complexity increase over time.
: Excellent organizational, interpersonal, writing and communication skills.
: Ability to prioritize and adapt to a fast:paced environment.
