This role requires 10+ years of experience as a full charge bookkeeper/accountant/office manager with strong social skills and a collaborative work style supporting; the Executive Committee, Board of Directors, Department Managers, as well as Committee Chairs, and Volunteers. The accounting function is clearly defined and dead line driven. It requires a seasoned accountant able to thoroughly understand financial statements, departmental accounting and journal entries. The Office Manager role will be looked upon for financial direction for the Club in general and various regattas that include budgets and volunteers. Policies and procedures will be developed or co-developed and executed by the office manager. This role is the conduit to support all internal channels to foster "Team Work". * Member billing; food & beverage, mooring charges, storage charges, locker fees, late charges and private parties * Prepare weekly food & beverage revenue reports for House Managers * Payroll; review departmental payroll reports and prepare cash requirements report, including employee withholding distribution, HSA, Health & 401K calculations. * Human Resources; record and reconcile all employee PTO and benefits * AP/AR management and reporting * Reconciliation of bank accounts * Monthly Close * Oversee, prepare and analyze monthly activity through departmental financial statements * Prepare month end reports for Finance Committee Meetings and monthly Board Meetings that could include presentations * Evaluation and reporting of Operating Results * Generate Cash flow reports * Budgeting & Forecasting; especially during budget season in late summer/early fall * Sales Tax; monthly and quarterly reporting and payments * Staff supervision in the accounting office * Coordination with outside Certified Public Accountants * Policy Development * Accounting and administrative duties that support the Rochester Community Boating Foundation. Characteristics and Qualifications: * Winning attitude * Ethical business standards, confidential work ethic and objective attitude * Self-motivated and well organized * JONAS systems training a plus * General proficiency with IT in a server environment * Proficient in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel * Strong communication skills-written and verbal * Ability to work independently and collaboratively * Resourceful and creative problem solver * Ability to meet deadlines Company Description: The Yacht Club has a 12 acre footprint includes a 172 slip basin, Clubhouse and Junior Sail Center, swimming and tennis. Our clubhouse hosts a large bar, along with casual dining and fine dining.
