Job Description Description: This position is for a highly-motivated, self-starting individual with a working knowledge of accounts receivable, revenue recognition regulations and business reporting to support the Client Space and Intelligence Segment Financial Planning organization. The scope of the position includes ensuring that all receivable activities are executed on a timely basis within GAAP and FAR/CAS guidelines. This role will also support a variety of other functions including but not limited to participating in special projects, and initiatives to optimize the performance of the accounts receivable and billing functions; and providing support to program management. This scope of the duties will involve regular interface with other functional groups (Government Compliance, Contracts, negotiation teams, internal auditors, external auditors, DCAA auditors, and personnel at other SIS facilities, program managers and Client SIS management). Principal Accountabilities: * Preparing invoices for SIS program contracts * Perform monthly reporting as required for management and accounting purposes * Support timely, accurate and complete audit documentation upon request * Support all Sarbanes Oxley requirements for revenue recognition * Seek methods to automate manual processes * Participating in special projects and month end processing Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field * Proficient knowledge of generally accepted accounting & auditing principles * 1+ years' experience in performing accounting, accounts receivable and/or auditing work * Very good business acumen * Aptitude for detailed work, data analysis and follow-up * Very good communication (written and verbal) skills * Strong intermediate level Excel Skills Desired Skills: * Working knowledge of both FAR and CAS requirements
