This position will report directly to the Controller, the Corporate Accountant will focus on the close process of our many entities. This position addresses a multitude of accounting activities including account reconciliation, general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation and also supports budget and forecast activities. This role offers growth opportunities and provides great experience in a fast paced and dynamic company. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years public accounting experience at a mid to larger regional firm. Software: Advanced Excel skills, (pivot tables, array formulas) SAGE Fixed Asset Package. Demonstrated technical accounting knowledge. BS degree in Accounting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Previous interaction with (or as) internal / external auditors required. Able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Focused, team player. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high growth environment Duties & Responsibilities · Prepare and post journal entries for various accounts and entities such as prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accruals, etc. · Perform accounting for fixed asset creation, depreciation, tracking and dispositions · Assist in accounting for payroll and related items by working closely with HR as directed. · Assist with AP and accruals · Review prepaid assets to ensure appropriate accounting · Prepare monthly account reconciliations (cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, etc.) · Accurate and timely reporting during the month-end close process · Prepare external audit deliverables related to specific areas of responsibility as directed. · Be involved in system implementations in relation to your areas of responsibility · Assist the finance and accounting team with other ad-hoc projects as needed Ideal Skills & Qualifications · Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting · 2+ years of progressive experience in Accounting, preferably in public accounting · Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel and Word) · Team player with strong communications and interpersonal skills · Ability to identify and drive improvements to existing process/systems · Attention to detail and ability to proactively manage their own work streams as needed · Excited to work and contribute to a fast-growing, fast-paced accounting team We offer very competitive compensation with excellent benefits: Medical & Dental and Vision Insurance, Company paid Life Insurance, Supplemental STD, LTD & Life insurance, 401(k) Savings Plan with Company Match, FSA Accounts, Vacation Pay, 10 paid Holidays and much more
